 - Can you describe how the business offering the IT solutions plans to increase supply chain visibility and control of product and information flow?

 Jibri Logistics still uses old technology in managing the control of products and information. Almost every process they do is manual. For example, if customers want to use Jibri's services, they can only contact Jibri via :

·       Whatsapp
·       Phone call
·       Come to the office physically.

Jibri does not yet have a sophisticated system or a system of its own. Next, in terms of data storage and daily records, Jibri Logistics only uses old methods such as Microsoft Excel and everything is done manually.

In addition, one of the mediums usually used by Jibri is Whatsapp to communicate and also update their customers. For example, Jibri logistics will create a WhatsApp group together with the customer and will inform the location progress and also documents such as bill of lading receipts and others. In addition, if the customer wants to see the condition of their goods in the warehouse, Jibril will update by just sending the current picture to the WhatsApp group.

Meanwhile, Jibri logistics also has its warehouse at Port Tanjung Pelepas. Their warehouse is equipped with CCTV system coverage. This CCTV system can monitor the movement of goods and also ensure that the goods are always safe. Among the advantages of this system is :

·       1 x16 channel systems with 16 camera point
·       1 x8 channel systems with 8 camera points
·       New additional 1x 16 channel systems with 16 camera points in Dec 2014
·       Full recording (hard drive 3TB)
·        Cycle overwriting hard drive every 4 weeks
·       Cameras positioned at guard post, back compound, compartments 1, 2, and 3 and other strategic locations.

·       Remote viewing

With this CCTV system, Jibril logistics can monitor the movement and also visually what is happening in the warehouse. For example, in the event of damage to the customer's goods in their warehouse, Jibri Logistics will provide recorded CCTV footage to be shown to their customers to confirm whether there was negligence or error in storing the goods in the warehouse as evidence. In addition, they can also clearly record visuals of the movement out and in.

In short, Jibri Logistics does not use its special system and still maintains manual use in managing the control of products and information throughout the supply chain. But this company continues to survive without using advanced IT. This is because every member of this company has been trained in that way and they have been able to manage without the help of technology or the latest system. In the meantime, according to them, most of their customers still maintain the old method of using technology.
